Tutorial: GigKalender Installation

GigKalender: v1.2

Preliminary remarks:

First download the current version of the GigKalender at Downloads. For the further steps you need:

  • a ZIP program: To unpack the ZIP file. Modern operating systems already have it on board. Otherwise 7-Zip is recommended.
  • a text editor: A simple text editor is sufficient (under Windows e.g. 'Notepad'), alternatively PSPad.
  • a FTP program: An FTP program is required to copy the GigKalender files from your local hard disk to the webspace of your website. I suggest WinSCP.
  • a web browser: Any modern web browser is suitable, e.g. Firefox or Seamonkey.

In the next line you have to specify where or in which folder the GigKalender is installed. The specification can be relative or absolute can be made. However, it is recommended that you specify the absolute path with concluding slash as in the example.

Note: If at the bottom on the backend the PaderDesign and CreativeCommons logos are visible, the path has been set correctly. If not, try the relative path specification.
